Developmental biologistsattempt to understand how the organs and cells of our tissues come to bespecified and positioned in their right positions. Tissue engineers developed artificial materialsto repair the lost or damaged tissue due to injury or disease. Both attempts tofind the vital indications that activate these processes, and to regulate thecells that perform these programs. That tissue engineeringmight gain from developmental biology,and vice versa.
